To check your connection you can run a speed test. Please make sure you run the test with the computer you intend to use with Elk. If possible, do it with wired internet (an ethernet cable between your computer and internet router) since that would give you a faster and more reliable connection.

For optimal Elk performance, your up & download speed should be around 10 Mbps, and your ping should preferably not be higher than 10 ms.
